Setting Prices
Photo pricing is controlled by you. You have totally autonomy over this, but of course we are happy to share with you what we have learned about the “optimal pricing point” for various photos.
We find that for Pictures of Individuals and Events, pricing your first photo too highly detracts buyers, but if you set it at a reasonable price, people tend to end up buying a larger number and you end up taking in more money. Make use of the bulk purchase discount functionality. Give customers a discount if they buy more than one photo.
You can also set different prices for high and low res photos. We recommend that you add a logo to the photo if you are using this option so that your logo is added to the low res photo. You may as well get some free marketing for the discount you are giving the customer on these photos.
You can change the price of the photos by clicking on the 3 dots next to the gallery name and choosing “edit gallery”. Alternatively you can change the price of an individual photo when viewing photos and clicking on the top Right hand corner of the photo. You can also change your default prices for photos and print mark ups , as well as the discount for multiple purchases in “Edit My Details”
In certain situations you may we wish to set the price of your photos at $0 which is not a problem for us . For example, for a school rugby match you may choose to have digital downloads available to friends at no cost, but should they choose to buy prints/framed prints you could generate some revenue from that. The choice is totally up to you. (Note – if you want to use our Facial Recognition technology there will be a charge for this, so if giving all your photos away, you will need to factor this in)
