Working with Event Organisers
If you have a contact at an Event or Organisation, you are welcome to contact them directly about handling the photography for their event. Alternatively we will be glad to contact them if you mail us at info@bossfotos.com with their details
Once the event has been signed up, it is certainly in your interest to develop a rapport with the organisers. The better you get on with them, the greater the chance of being invited back, and the more chance you have of them promoting your photos via email and whatsapp groups and social media after the event. Try to remember however, that these events can be very stressful for the organiser and are often the culmination of months of hard work, so try to avoid unnecessary contact with them. Also ensure before the event that you have a good understanding of the type of photos they are after, and whether they need photos of club members, sponsors etc.
Working with Event competitors
Be positive and encouraging and you are likely to sell more photos! The good news is after the event you do not need to worry about sales/fulfilment issues as a BossFotos staff member will handle all this
Ensure that everyone who has been photographed is aware of where to buy photos after the event.
Working with other Photographers
With larger events, or events that have multiple races running concurrently, you may with to invite another photographer for the day to assist you (or the Event Organiser may have booked more than one of you). If you are deciding on how many photographers will be needed, try to ask this question “will the extra photographer I bring on, be certain to cover their salary at the very least (in EXTRA photo sales)?”
If you would like help getting extra photographers for the event, email us at info@bossfotos.com
On the day remember to sync the time on your camera with other photographers, and also try to be fair on who shoots from where (don’t leave one person in the sun all day!)
